Official: 2025 Corvette ZR1 Rockets 0 to 60 MPH in Just 2.3 Seconds
The 2025 Corvette ZR1 stands as the fastest Corvette to date when equipped with the optional ZTK Performance Package
The #ZR1 outfitted with the ZTK package rockets through the quarter mile in an impressive 9.6 seconds. Meanwhile, the standard ZR1 accelerates to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, completing the quarter mile in 9.7 seconds.
“The 2025 Corvette ZR1 yet again exceeded our expectations,” said Josh Holder, chief engineer, Corvette. “Combined with a top speed record of 233 mph – which is unrivaled by any current production car priced under $1 million – the Corvette ZR1 delivers on its mission to provide customers unrelenting power.”
Examining the ZR1 reveals its dual nature as both an exceptional track machine and a formidable grand touring car. The ZR1 with the ZTK package, featuring the high-downforce Carbon Fiber Aero Package, launches from a standstill on the ultra-sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires, gaining a distinct advantage in reaching 60 mph. In contrast, the standard aero ZR1 glides to a quarter mile trap speed of 152 mph, which is 2 mph quicker than its ZTK counterpart. All evaluations were conducted using 93 octane pump fuel on a non-prepped drag strip surface.
Corvette’s lineup, from the #Stingray to the ZR1, boasts standard Launch Control and Custom Launch Control features that facilitate swift and consistent launches. The Launch Control system is expertly designed to regulate tire spin, manage the transmission clutch application rate, and more, ensuring that launches happen with remarkable speed and precision. Meanwhile, the Custom Launch Control offers drivers the flexibility to fine-tune their experience, allowing adjustments for real-time conditions. This means you can optimize your acceleration by modifying launch RPM and wheel slip targets directly from the steering wheel controls.
The 2025 Corvette ZR1 makes a striking impression with its formidable 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged LT7 DOHC flat-plane crank V8 engine, delivering an astonishing 1,064 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and a robust 828 lb-ft of torque at 6,000 rpm, as per SAE standards. This powerhouse not only marks the pinnacle of performance for a factory Corvette but also stands as the most potent V8 ever crafted by an American automaker.
As the fastest vehicle ever produced by an American manufacturer, the ZR1 boasts an exhilarating top speed of 233 mph, pushing the boundaries of automotive engineering. Its meticulously designed carbon fiber aerodynamic package generates over 1,200 pounds of downforce at peak velocity, ensuring stability and control that match its breathtaking speed.
The eighth-generation Corvette boasts some impressive acceleration figures that are sure to thrill any car enthusiast. Stingray, when equipped with the optional Z51 package, rockets from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 2.9 seconds. Meanwhile, Z06, enhanced with the Z07 package, shaves that time down to an exhilarating 2.6 seconds. E-Ray takes it a step further, achieving this benchmark in just 2.5 seconds. Finally, ZR1, when fitted with the ZTK package, claims the crown with a blistering 0 to 60 mph time of only 2.3 seconds.
