HEMI-Powered Dodge Durango Hellcat and RT to Live On
710-horsepower supercharged 6.2L HEMI V8 powered Durango Hellcat, and Durango RT featuring the 5.7L HEMI V8 to carry on into the 2025 calendar year
Dodge is revving up the holiday spirit by announcing that the production of HEMI®-powered Dodge Durango models will extend into the 2025 calendar year, delivering a thrilling gift for enthusiasts.
Responding to strong market demand and customer enthusiasm, the brand's robust three-row SUV will continue to unleash its power with the option of a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Hellcat V-8 engine, boasting an impressive 710 horsepower and 645 lb.-ft. of torque. Additionally, the Durango R/T will feature the standard 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine, which generates 360 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque.
“The Dodge Durango paired with the HEMI engine is a formidable combination, and we’re excited to keep producing the most powerful gas engine SUV in the world through 2025,” stated Matt McAlear, CEO of Dodge – Stellantis. “This marks a fitting tribute to our celebration of 20 years of HEMI-powered Durango models.”
Dodge first kicked off full production of HEMI-equipped Durango models back in 2004. The brand is celebrating two decades of this dynamic duo with the launch of four limited-edition models: the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Brass Monkey, Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Hammerhead, Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Silver Bullet, and the Dodge Durango R/T 20th Anniversary edition. All special-edition models for 2025 are now available for order at dealerships.
The ongoing availability of the HEMI engine in the Durango lineup, along with the award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine for the Durango GT, enhances Dodge's expanding array of multi-energy vehicle options.
